. . . . . . KO, thanks for the scale differences pic. i was looking everywhere for a flik like that about a week ago. What is the 1/131 scale. i didnt know there was anything between Ho & N? 1/131 is a Maisto diecast train series scale. Not compatible with any of the traditional model railroad scales. They did a series called "Enamelized Graffiti Diecast Train Collection" in 2005. There is a review of this product here: www.12ozprophet.com/forum/showthread.php?t=114841

This was on the slate for their next series but I haven't seen them. From what I understand, they received too much negative feedback from consumers. Things like it is "glorified crime" and "these should not be toys for kids because it is illegal." etc....

yeah, i remember those. yeah at least they had the good sense to employ actual writers for it.
the japanise set looks real sick. Im not really fond of N scale, but i have seen some impressive N layouts. Also I know a lot of people overseas get hella serious about their trains. keep postin the progress.

Old bump.. but i found a drop-in Rapido to kato coupler conversion kit, pack of 30, in Florida about 8 years ago. of all the "scale" N knuckle couplers out there Kato's are the most economical, Micro-Scale makes great couplers and conversion kits but for converting an entire fleet they're prohibitively expensive.
