here is a method i picked up on 12oz. I may have added my own spin to it, but this is how i was able to achieve fades in 1:87 scale there was no prototype no script. the weber piece and the colors were all freestyle and the piece is based on the style of one of my favorite writers WebOne KAOS crew.

Looks good. What kind of paint marker did you use for the white?

i used airbrush, but im sure you could use aerosol..especially if ur like me and keep a lot of scraps of fresh colors.
the paint marker is elmers Painters markers from walmart. normally i use decos religiously, but i didnt have a thin white and didnt want to drive all the way to michaels. the elmers black and white seem to work well tho.

what scale are you working with? feel free to share some photos.
as for white paint markers, i feel you. decos are the best that i have used. the elmers were a pleasent surprise but they are almost no good after one or two uses. the one i used on this train is still relatively new but is already not working like it was when it was brand new. i only got to use it twice.
