harbor blue scraps I like that sliding glass door out to a wooden (balsa?) porch. Looks like a single level layout design. Are you going to run the wires under the table or hidden on top?

yes, the pink and blue foam is pricey around here too. Good stuff to carve and shape for diorama bases though. I've been using the standard white styrofoam lately. Super cheap to buy, plus I get it free from work...

right on. How did you scale the building? Looks accurate. What did you use for the roll-up doors? They look good.

thanks KO - micro engineering warehouse doors. The structure is nearing completion, ill have some more pictures soon. i plan on building another one over the vaction for my upcoming industrial park. i forgot now the measturements now but it was something like 3mm:1foot in 1/87. just did the math and the rest is history. i used cardboard on this one but the next ones will be evergreen styrene.

Good idea for the warehouse. Plenty of room for tracksides... Another source for styrene are those "for sale" signs sold at hardware and home builder stores, same styrene material. Check and price the sizes of each source including your Evergreen dealer. Sometimes the "signs" are cheaper. Another source are those credit card offers you get as junk mail that include a sample plastic card in the envelope. Also styrene material. Some are a different formula styrene, but all very similar.

woe - funny you mention that. I have afriend that models airplanes. he put me up on the cc offer thing. as for the for sale signs i will check those out too. after an election those things are for the taking. the roof fans came from the hobby shop. they looked really old and are diecast metal. i coped them for 2 bucks. the skylights are not really what i was looking for. but for another 2 bucks i got them anyway, but will probably replace them in the long run. i was looking more for the ones like in the building above. i may try to build a ac Unit also. my hobby shop has a bag of styrene odds and ends i may pick up. by the time i go on vacation (in 1 week) i should have all i need to finish this one up and get started on #2
